I own V5 and honestly I’m still disappointed in it. Im begging all of you to give V5 a chance and stop treating it like the worst editor of all time.Īnd im speaking from experience, im a producer and i have tried out almost every vocaloid editor. tbh the only v2 any of yall care about is piko anyway so

and even then, there are exploits to use them in V5 (and yamaha is fine with this, they just cant offer customer support) so its not all bad.

v2 was being phased out anyway (as sad as it is) so it was a matter of time. but that ultimately only effects 6 vocaloids (that have not gotten an update). i understand why it was removed.Īnd yeah, V2 vocaloids cant be used in V5 (without modding of course )) and yes that sucks ass.

why use a soft voicebank when i can make my vocaloid naturally transition into a whispery vocal with the new version of breathiness? people modding the XSY feature could also create a legal nightmare, as combining two vocals who have wildly different licenses and trying to monetize it would most likely cause legal issues, as well as the use of illegal XSY in hoax voicebanks like stella. XSY wasnt necessary in the update, as the revamped parameters allows you to change the expression of the vocals as well. 30 seconds waiting for a track to render isnt the worst thing in the world, because in the end, the results will be more high quality. previous versions are the exception, not the rule. you know what also has render times? JUST ABOUT EVERY PROFESSIONAL SOFTWARE. I also see people complain about the render times. the menus are easy to navigate and the whole software is a lot sleeker. singing styles, attack and release, autobreath and the mixing sfx options make tuning and mixing vocaloid a BREEZE. ive seen people claim it isnt beginner friendly, but this is far from the truth. V5 adds lots of expressiveness to the voices. if u use his low range his voice is gorgeously soft. ive seen people call chris "the worst vocaloid" when hes actually one of my favorites. chris and amy are unique, flexible and im pretty sure most people dislike them because their boxart isnt the greatest. V5 is more expensive than V4 was, but it comes with four really good vocaloids for at just a little over the price of the old V4 voicebank bundles (that came with ONE vocaloid rather than four).

I kind of hate how the popular perception on here is that vocaloid 5 is bad and unusable or whatever, and that people are treating V4 like some superior holy grail
